Kingfisher Cottage is a leisurely walk or a 2-minute drive to the beautiful Maenporth, Gyllyngvase, and Swanpool beaches and the SW coastal path. Enjoy lunch or dinner at Hooked on the Rocks at Swanpool Beach, with wonderful sea views. The quirky Swanpool Café, nature reserve, and crazy golf are also all within walking distance. Falmouth Golf Club (18 holes) is close by.

Local Points of Interest from Lyn:

• Head down to Gyllyngvase Beach for coffee or breakfast on the outdoor deck of the beach café, complete with blankets and heaters in winter.
• Walk the coast path from the cottage to Swanpool Beach or the beautiful Maenporth Beach, both with excellent cafes.
• Take a ferry across the harbour to St Mawes, and possibly on to the wooded slopes of St Anthony Head beyond.
• Enjoy the sub-tropical waters and marine wildlife from a stand-up paddleboard. Hire a board or canoe and explore the secret beaches, coves, and reef of the Helford Passage.
• Spend some time on Falmouth’s vibrant high street, with independent shops, galleries, artisan bakeries, quirky bars, and atmospheric restaurants.
• Explore the Lizard Peninsula, beautiful Trebah Garden, historic Penzance, and the newly opened Art Deco seawater Lido, heated by geothermal sources.
• Visit the Seal Sanctuary (9 miles from Kingfisher Cottage) and Flicka Donkey Sanctuary (less than 5 miles away in Penryn).

Accommodation: Kingfisher Cottage comprises three first-floor bedrooms:

• One king-size bedroom
• One double bedroom
• One bedroom with twin beds

• First Floor Bathroom:
• Bath with power shower over, washbasin, WC, heated towel rail

Ground Floor Cloakroom/Shower Room:

• WC, washbasin, heated towel rail, corner shower

Kitchen:

• Open plan kitchen with oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. Fully equipped with all crockery, glasses, and cooking utensils.

Open Plan Living Room/Dining Room:

• Real wood flooring, two sofas, coffee table, Smart TV/DVD, shelf unit with books and games. Overlooks the private south-facing patio, perfect for alfresco dining, accessed through double patio doors.

Dining Area:

• Dining table and six chairs, highchair available.

Additional Information:

• All bed linen and kitchen tea towels included.
• Travel cot, stair gate, and highchair hire available for £10.
• Please bring your own beach towels.
• No smoking or vaping indoors.

Pets:

• Pets are allowed (charges apply). Dogs are not permitted on furniture or the first floor. We provide a portable dog fence for the patio and lawn area. Dogs must be on a lead on-site but can enjoy off-lead time on lovely walks off-site.

• On-site leisure facilities include a tennis/basketball/netball court, children’s play area, indoor soft play area, plunge pool, jacuzzi, and gym.

Important Notes:

• The number of guests, including children, must not exceed the stated number of beds.
• The lead booking guest must be over 25 years old.
• We do not accept singles or single-sex groups of youths under 25.
• We do not accept bookings for less than seven nights unless discussed.

COVID-19 Policy:

• Adhere to current government legislation regarding COVID-19. If you need to cancel due to COVID-19, we will use reasonable endeavours to secure another booking. If not possible, you should claim on your travel insurance. If you become ill during your stay, inform us immediately and return home. We strongly advise you to have adequate travel insurance.

Kingfisher Cottage is a privately owned holiday home on a select development. We reserve the right to refuse and expel anyone causing a nuisance without refund.

No trip to Falmouth is complete without a walk to Maenporth Beach. The Cove restaurant is well worth a visit. Kingfisher Cottage is ideally situated for exploring the Minack Theatre, Eden Project, Tate Gallery, and National Trust properties and gardens nearby, including Glendurgan and Trelissick Estate.

Swimming Pool/Hot Tub Details:

• Small heated splash pool and shared 8-seater jacuzzi on site.
