This beautifully renovated Robin Hoods Bay cottage is in the perfect location for walking the Cleveland Way and for traffic free cycling along the Cinder Track. Sea Fern Cottage is a modern spacious 3-bedroom cottage, that is perfectly suited to accommodate families, groups of friends and couples. Our recent guests have described Sea Fern as beautiful, wonderful, superb, amazing and 'home from home'.

We're in the village of Fylingthorpe, which is rural and within walking distance of Robin Hood's Bay in the North York Moors National Park and five miles from Whitby.

The area is packed full of things to do for adventure breaks and there are plenty of family friendly beaches along the Yorkshire Coast from Scarborough to Sandsend. It's perfect for walkers, cyclists, and multi generation families wanting to enjoy a stroll along the beach. In Fylingthorpe itself there is a butchers, a corner shop and a pub 5 minutes walk away. In Robin Hood's Bay there are plenty of cafe’s, pubs and restaurants, so you won't be short of a well-earned place to rest after your day's activities. Our information folder is packed with lots of fun things to do, in order to make your stay memorable and relaxing.

Sea Fern Cottage is a special place for owners, Jill and Ben, who find spending time there helps them de-stress and re-charge. We hope that you, like them, will return home having experienced the most chilled out holiday you have ever had.

Cleanliness and comfort are a priority, because we know it's important to our guests who frequently mention how clean, fresh and comfortable the cottage is. It was refurbished in 2023, so it's all NEW! New beds, Emma mattresses, bathrooms, heating and we're fully insulated to keep you warm in the winter months. Our house keeper steam cleans the floors and washes the rugs frequently, so that you will always feel as though you are walking into a newly renovated property.

We're a dog friendly cottage. The beach is dog friendly and so is our local pub. Our ground floor is completely dog friendly with an enclosed garden. We do make one request, because half of our guests are not dog owners we ask that dogs are kept downstairs and a stair gate is in place to help facilitate this.

We want you to have the best holiday you can possibly have at Sea Fern Holiday Cottage, because we'd love you to tell all your friends and family just how great we are!

Therefore, we provide useful documents for you to plan your holiday activities, restaurants and days out before you arrive. We are keen to encourage sustainable tourism at Robin Hood's Bay and by offering our guests lots of things to do from our door we find it enables them to take a break from the car and, for some, that is the ultimate way to relax and recharge.

Road cycling routes quickly followed, so you can now make your holiday into a self guided walking holiday or cycling holiday or a combination of both.

Our self-guided walks and bike rides are all available on Komoot as tours, where you can send the route to your phone.
