- Review from...: Facebook: A group of us friends are staying at Wharfe cottage currently for my 60th birthday celebrations. We hadn't even walked in the door when we were overawed by how much thought Mischelle had put into our stay. From the birthday balloons outside and the complementary slippers at the door to the personalised prosecco and gifts, to the astonishing hand made flower ice balls in the champagne octopus, every personal and special touch had been offered. We walked round the cottage gasping and we all said how moved we were by the generosity of the host. To top it all, the most extraordinary birthday cake was sat on the dining room table - which didnt last long! Many of the group have had to travel widely worldwide in our professional roles and have never stayed in private accommodation to this standard. The beds are comfortable, towels and accessories of good quality and the cottage is equipped with absolutely everything you need. We could very happily move in. Quite simply an extraordinary cottage with an extraordinary host. Can't recommend highly enough and we'll certainly be back. - Places of interest: The Spa town of Ilkley is 1 ( flat ) mile away with a boutique cinema, Lido with outdoor pool. Many independent shops and restaurants. Train station. The famous moors are above us and the Dalesway walks too. The river and parks less than one mile.
