Description:
The Barn - a 2-storey detached barn in the Wye Valley
The Barn is a 2-storey detached barn. The property has raised external decking area and outside dining facilities. The views are breathtaking and simply perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. It sleeps up to 4 guests and has 2 bathrooms. All rooms have far-reaching valley views from Goodrich Church, directly over Coppett Hill and south towards the Yat Rock viewing point. The layout of the Barn is "upside-down", with the main living facilities on the first floor. There is Wifi throughout the property and linen and towels are included. Regretfully we are unable to accept children under the age of 12.
Lounge/Diner:
The comfortable lounge-diner has a dual aspect with valley views on one side, and a patio door with views over the orchard and paddock to the rear. Your very friendly but nosey neighbours are Bessie and Elsie, our resident sheep, who reside in the paddock. The lounge is equipped with 2 comfortable sofas, TV/DVD player and a dining table and chairs.
Kitchen:
The fully fitted kitchen is amply equipped with washing machine, cooker, family-size fridge freezer, airfryer, microwave, toaster and a variety of utensils to cover your catering needs.
Bathroom:
The standard family-sized bathroom contains a three-piece suite with over-bath shower, along with sink and toilet.
Double Bedroom (first floor):
The cosy bedroom contains a very comfortable double bed, bedside tables and built-in wardrobe space with hanging rails and shelving. There is a hairdryer for guest use.
King Bedroom (ground floor):
The bedroom has a very comfortable king-sized bed, a small sofa and a hospitality table with kettle and mini fridge. There is a cupboard with a moveable and height adjustable hanging rail, and a hair drier for guest use.
En-suite:
The modern en-suite shower room has a shower cubicle, sink and loo.
Downstairs Hallway:
The entrance door opens into a hall area with ample hanging space for coats and a muddy boot tray. There is an internal staircase which leads to the upstairs locked dividing door.
Outside:
A large decking area with fabulous views is available for guest use. It is equipped with a table and chairs, and a basic built-in BBQ.
There is securable bike storage available for guest use and parking for 2 cars.
Please be aware that great views over the valley mean hills! The driveway isn't long but it is steep and not particularly suited to anyone who requires a mobility aid.
The driveway is narrow in places so you'll be given directions on where you will need to park.
The Barn is accessed via a single step to the front of the property with a further flight of steps to the rear of the property.
