The Hollies: An attractive 3-bedroom bungalow in Dorset.
The Hollies is an attractive 3-bedroom bungalow in a pretty village within the Jurassic coastal area of South West Dorset. The perfect spot for a relaxing and quiet holiday for a couple or family.
Just a stroll away is an excellent village pub and nearby Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and the coast are a 5-10 minute drive or bracing walk straight from the backdoor. Two allocated parking spaces on a shared drive and 1-2 dogs welcome.
There is plenty to see, do, and visit in the local area, with easy access to popular visitor attractions, amenities and well stocked farm-shops.
The accommodation is modern, light and comfortable, featuring 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 single), with a fold-out bed available for an extra child.
A modern kitchen features a large dining table seating six and bifold doors open directly onto the garden. The enclosed rear garden has a patio area with outdoor table and chairs for summer dining, along with a portable BBQ for cooking.
An open-plan lounge offers a cosy, 'real effect' electric flame fire, Smart TV and comfortable sofas and armchairs.
The modern fitted bathroom has with a p-shaped bath, overhead shower and heated towel rail.
Outside, at the bottom of the lane, there is the village green, ‘Gods Pocket’, for children to play in and let off steam.From the drive, the front door is reached via 3 steps up and along a paved path.
Dogs: enquiries for dogs welcome. Do just be aware that The Hollies backs onto farmland with livestock and some outside areas are communal, so it is important to keep dogs on leads in these, however the rear garden is private and enclosed.
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out 10am.

- Review from...: AIRBNB - Our stay at the accommodation was absolutely fantastic. In all the years of booking accommodations for group photography workshops, this one stands out as the best so far. It provided the best night's sleep I've had while away, truly feeling like a home away from home. The place was immaculately clean and delightful to stay in, with easy access to great sights in the area despite the feeling of being secluded. We will definitely be returning to the area, and I already know where I'll be booking. Thank you for the wonderful communication and for being an amazing host with such an incredible place. - Pub: There is a good pub in the village, The Sailors Return, which offers a warm welcome and delicious food and is dog friendly too.
- Shops: Winfrith Village Stores and two great farm shops are just 5 mins drive away and there is easy access to local towns of Wareham and Dorchester for supermarkets and other shops.
- Places of interest: Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are 5-10 mins drive and the Tank Museum, Lulworth Castle are 15 mins away. There are a lot of visitor attraction within 30 mins drive away.
- Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be notified in writing to the owner. Once received, the owner will confirm to you the cancellation in writing. If a guest cancels more than 6 weeks before the holiday is due to start, then the non-refundable deposit is retained by the owner and guest is not liable to pay the owner the balance. If the guest has already paid in full then they will be refunded the balance. If cancellation is less than 6 weeks before the holiday start date, then the full amount is still owed to the owner. The owner will try their best to re-book any cancelled holiday dates but is under no obligation to do so. If in the unlikely event a booking is cancelled by the owner then the guest will be promptly refunded the amount that they have already paid to the owner. If you need to change your holiday dates, please let the owner know as soon as possible and it may be possible to move your booking to alternative dates. There may be a £50 admin fee for this and dates may only be changed once. If it is not possible for the owner to offer alternative dates or the guest does not accept the dates offered and the guest has to cancel the holiday then the above cancellation policy (above) applies.
