Tan y Bryn is in a scenic spot between the coast and the hills of North Wales, within easy reach of fantastic beaches and exciting attractions. The one-bedroom holiday home is next to the owner’s house and has fantastic views and walks from the door, including to the Eagle and Child pub in Gwaenysgor with its award-winning garden. Guests love how welcoming the cottage is, with its flexible layout that allows for a superking or two single beds, the well-equipped kitchen for self-catering, and the garden area with decking. Storage for bikes and kayaks is available in the owner’s outbuildings. It’s ideal for couples, friends or solo visitors who can appreciate its home comforts and convenient location.
Gwaenysgor is a conservation village in Flintshire set within the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has an excellent pub and views of the Irish Sea, Snowdonia, The Clwydian hills, the Great Orme and Anglesey. There are many excellent local walks including along the Offa’s Dyke footpath and to the top of Gop Hill which is the second largest neolithic mound in Britain. Prestatyn with its excellent shops and restaurants, blue flag beach, Wales Coastal Footpath and the start of the 177-mile Offa’s Dyke Footpath is only two miles away.
Local attractions include Rhuddlan Castle, Dyserth Waterfalls and Pavilion Theatre in Rhyl. Wildlife lovers will enjoy the Gronant Dunes protected as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and the RSPB Nature Reserve at Point of Ayr. Conwy with its scenic harbour, famous castle and RSPB Reserve, Llandudno, Anglesey, Llangollen and the historic city of Chester, Snowdonia and Anglesey are all under an hour away. Moel Famau, the Vale of Clwyd, Greenfield Park and St Winifrede’s Well and Shrine are closer at about half an hour’s drive.
Tan y Bryn is a lovely, detached period property made from locally quarried stone. It’s peaceful and private with rural views, a friendly pub within walking distance and loads to do within a small radius. Bookings are available all year round.

The stone cottage has an open plan living area with a mezzanine bedroom.
Hallway opening into living/dining room and kitchen with comfortable sofas, an electric "woodburner" for the cosy appeal of a fire without the mess, and a bookcase with books and games. It's a space where you'll immediately feel at ease.
The kitchen is along a back wall and features all of the necessary equipment and appliances for self-catering in a compact and well-designed corner.
Upstairs, the bedroom has a superking or twin single beds, bedside tables with reading lights, and velux windows. There is a shower room with a shower, WC and handbasin.Outside: An enclosed garden has a deck with seating and a barbecue. Guests also have use of the owner's adjacent field. There is parking for one car, and storage space for mountain bikes, SUPs, kayaks and other equipment.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included when you book your holiday at Tan Y Bryn. Pets and smoking are not permitted. The house is suitable for children in cots only. A stairgate is available on request. There is no tumble dryer or washing machine in the cottage but the owners can make their washing machine and drying facilities available on request.

- Shops: Shops - independent shops and supermarkets including Marks & Spencers in Prestatyn 10 minutes drive. Good traditional butchers in Dyserth 5 minutes drive.
- Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable 25% deposit of the holiday cost is payable at the time of booking. Bookings made less than six weeks before your arrival date must be paid in full. The balance must be paid no later than six weeks before the commencement of your holiday. If you cancel your holiday more than 6 weeks before it is due to start, then your deposit will be forfeit. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the holiday, then the full balance remains due and is not refundable.
