Discover Dawn's House in Cromford, a delightful holiday let nestled in a serene setting. The house was completely renovated in 2021 following the sad passing of Dawn. Dawn was a huge character, she lived in this house for many years. Dawn loved all things quirky and so the renovation had to reflect her unique personality. You can see our journey on this property on social media. The home was lovingly restored so that we could share Cromford with everyone.
Welcome to Dawn's House in Cromford! 🌅 This charming holiday let offers a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle, perfect for exploring the picturesque surroundings. With cozy accommodations and a serene atmosphere, Dawn's House is your ideal home away from home.
Families and friends will be amazed at the hidden views from this semi-detached property; the split-level enclosed garden offers outstanding vistas, and the hot tub is situated in front of an impressive mural, making you feel like you are in rainforest!
The village has a fine selection of shops and pubs and a couple of miles away, Matlock Bath has a huge selection of cafes and ice cream parlours and is also the starting point for the cable car that takes you to the Heights of Abraham. Each Saturday there is a parade of boats and fireworks at the famous Matlock Bath illuminations which are on in September and October every year. The stunning Chatsworth Estate is just 10 miles away.
The property is reached via a flight of external steps down from the parking area to the front door. The hallway offers a beautiful glass balustrade staircase that leads through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Come together around the kitchen island that offers six barstools to enjoy a celebration meal or relax on the comfy snug sofas admiring the beautiful views over Cromford pond.
Upstairs you will find two quirky king-size bedrooms and a single bedroom with a pull-out single bed. All beds have super comfortable Emma mattresses. There is a smart tv in the two larger bedrooms and another in the living room. Disney plus and Netflix are logged in and free of charge. There is unlimited WiFi, board games and a built in speaker in the kitchen island for music.
The bathroom offers a small bath, overhead waterfall walk-in shower, sink and toilet.
Outside the enclosed garden is split into three levels with steps down to each level.
There is outdoor dining furniture, a comfy corner sofa, egg chair, firepit and a gas BBQ to dine alfresco; all perfectly placed to make the most of the stunning views.The bottom level offers a children’s smoby playhouse, perfect for little ones on composite decking.
To the back of the property is a hidden courtyard with a huge hot tub, Tikki bar, deck chairs, and a huge mural of a rainforest guaranteed to make you smile.The driveway offers space for two cars, there is more free parking in the village a few minutes walk away.
Pets are welcome at no extra cost, 3 dogs maximum.
