Sunrise Cottage is a picture-perfect country retreat where original character combines with contemporary touches to create a welcoming holiday home. This beautiful 2-bedroom character cottage can accommodate up to four people in two charming bedrooms. Located in the ancient Somerset village of Cheddon Fitzpaine, it is within walking distance of the friendly Ring of Bells Pub and offers guests direct access to the beautiful Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is no surprise that this dog-friendly cottage is a firm favourite with families and friends.
Cheddon Fitzpaine can trace its roots back beyond the Romans, with evidence that people were attracted to the area's abundant resources as far back as late Neolithic times, over six thousand years ago. Its long history gives the village a timeless quality, where visitors feel like they are leaving their own footprint—no matter how small—on its history. As well as being within walking distance of the village centre, Sunrise Cottage is only a few minutes on foot from the Hestercombe Estate, with its 50 acres of stunning gardens and parkland, as well as a café, restaurant, and art gallery.
Just a few miles from Sunrise Cottage, the market town of Taunton offers everything you could need and want to make your holiday in Somerset relaxed and memorable. In addition to shops, supermarkets, cafés, and pubs, there is a weekly farmers' market each Thursday and an outdoor market every Friday and Saturday. Bridgwater is also nearby, as is Street, where you will find an outlet shopping centre.
In addition to its pretty countryside with plentiful footpaths, bridleways, and cycling routes, Somerset has a beautiful coastline, with the dog-friendly St Audries Beach around a 25-minute drive from the cottage, and other beaches including Minehead, Bossington, and Brean. Local attractions include Sheppey's House of Cider, Wookey Hole, Wells Cathedral, Exmoor's stunning natural wilderness, and Glastonbury Cathedral and Tor.

Entry is via a gate and through the cottage garden into a front door around which flowering plants grow.
Welcoming sitting room where the log burner crackles happily in cold weather, adding to the warmth and charm. Guests can settle back and chat or make the most of the smart TV with Netflix.
A doorway leads through to the country kitchen/diner, which is well-equipped for self-catering, and where glass French doors open onto the peaceful patio and garden at the rear of the cottage. Separate utility and cloakroom with a washing machine, tumble dryer, WC, and hand basin.
Upstairs:
Spacious master bedroom with a decorative fireplace and views of the garden and countryside. Second double bedroom with original beams.
Family bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC, and hand basin.
Outside: The cottage has gardens both at the front and rear, with a paved patio that is furnished with comfortable rattan garden furniture so that guests can enjoy dining alfresco when the weather is fine. The rear garden is fully enclosed, and there is allocated off-street parking for one car at the front.
Additional Information: All utilities, sheets, bath towels, and wifi are provided. Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior agreement from the owner. Breaks of between 3 and 14 nights are possible all year round, depending on availability. Smoking is not permitted.

- Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your booking at any time. Cancellation must be communicated to us in writing and takes effect from the date received by us. In the event of cancellation then the following charges become applicable: Less than 2 weeks prior to arrival date – 100% of full fee. Between 2‐3 weeks prior to arrival date – 90% of full fee. Between 4‐6 weeks prior to arrival date – 50% of full fee 6+ weeks prior to arrival date – full 30 % booking deposit. CANCELLATIONS – BY US It is extremely unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your property rental. However, occasionally we may have to make changes and reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes would be minor and we will advise you of them as soon as they may be applicable. If we are forced to cancel the property rental because of force majeur or for any reason that makes the property unfit for rental, you will have the choice of either allowing us to try to locate a suitable alternative property on your behalf or of cancelling the booking and accepting a full refund of all monies paid to us. Please note that we are not liable for any consequential loss or incidental expenditure resulting from the cancellation of your holiday.
